VS57 is the curtain track patented in 1957, with a standardised groove maxi of 6.2-6.4mm. The idea behind it was to develop a curtain track that was modern and aesthetic, easy to install, uncomplicated, quiet and affordable for everyone.

Aluminium offers high stability and particularly easy gliding. Ideal for light to heavy day or night curtains.

Our Hamotec track programme is suitable for curtains, curtains with gliders and panel curtains. Blackout fabrics or room dividers can also be used without any problems.

Yes. Aluminium rails in particular are ideal for heavy curtains, provided that suitable dowels and a secure surface are used.

For a harmonious crease formation we recommend:

  • approx. 10-12 glides per metre for classic curtains
  • approx. 6-8 glides per metre for light curtains

 

The tighter the pleats are required, the more glides should be used

Yes, most models can be shortened to the required length using a standard hacksaw or a suitable cutter. Matching end caps ensure a neat and elegant finish.

Simple measures usually help here: Clean the rail, replace damaged glides or use some silicone spray/paraffin. Replacement may be advisable for older rail systems.

As a guideline: one fastening every 50-80 cm for normal fabrics, a little closer for heavy curtains (40-60 cm). This ensures a stable and durable assembly. Please refer to the information in the product data sheet.
